Shocking law-and-order incident in Kerala — Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s convoy was attacked in Wandoor, near Chelithode in the Thiruvali area, during the heated election campaign. Two vehicles allegedly blocked the convoy on a narrow bridge, and as Tharoor’s security team tried to clear the road, his gunman and driver were assaulted by five men. Police have arrested one suspect, with the remaining identified and set for apprehension. Tharoor was unharmed, and campaign activities continued as planned.
