In this Trinity Morning Minute, we turn to Judges 6:11–16 and the powerful encounter between Gideon and the Angel of the LORD. In this passage, the Angel of the LORD appears to Gideon and speaks with divine authority—not merely as a messenger, but as Yahweh Himself. As the conversation unfolds, Gideon responds in a striking way: he acknowledges the Angel of the LORD as God, while simultaneously referencing another LORD—the God who brought Israel out of Egypt. This creates a remarkable moment in the text where two LORDs are clearly distinguished, yet both are fully divine. The Angel of the LORD speaks as Yahweh, receives worship, and claims the authority to deliver Israel—something no created being could do. At the same time, Gideon speaks of the LORD who rescued Israel from Egypt, demonstrating a distinction of persons within the Godhead. Far from contradicting Scripture, this passage beautifully supports the biblical truth that God is three in one. Judges 6 is yet another Old Testament witness to the eternal Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—working together in redemptive history long before the New Testament. 📖 Key Text: Judges 6:11–16 🎯 Main Theme: The Angel of the LORD is Yahweh—revealing plurality within the one true God ⸻ Hashtags: #Trinity #AngelOfTheLord #Judges6 #OldTestamentTrinity #BibleTeaching #Yahweh #JesusInTheOldTestament #ChristianApologetics #BiblicalTheology #ScriptureStudy #MorningMinute #TrinityInTheBible This video contains music from Shutterstock, licensed by Splice video editing app.
