You really need to experience Swans live to fully understand it, it's a visceral experience that demans your attention, but this gives a bit of a glimpse for those who couldn't make a show. I was in a good spot to set a camera up without having to think about it much during the show, it didn't detract from the moment. Regrettably the video is portrait oriented and at 0.5x zoom. Audio-wise this was my first time using the Tascam DR-07X, and a good learning experience. I was positioned on the balcony directly to the right of the board, and had microphones set in the wide (A-B) position. There were speakers in front of me, so I could have positioned them X-Y but there were even more speakers to the left and right so the wide image seemed appropriate. I didn't adjust gain prior to the Kristof Hahn set, but it didn't effect the sound. The gain was dialed in properly for the Swans recording. There are 4 or 5 seconds missing from The Beggar due to my error tapping the wrong button on the Tascam. In the end, a great show. Swans puts on the loudest concerts I've ever been to - no contest. COMMENTS FROM ‪@strangerecordings4648‬ Here's an excellent quality recording from a friend of mine, who did their first tape with a proper recorder at this show. They were positioned on the balcony near the mixing desk, and got a really impressive capture of the show. All I did was some light EQ mostly to make the bass more audible and the obvious amplification. The taper also filmed most of the show in portrait mode on their Google Pixel. This setlist is actually only four songs. I Am A Tower was not played for the first time this tour. Why this is could be many reasons, but I hope it's not a permanent change.
