In the ongoing saga of experimentation, ponder-ation, application, etc., I wanted to try my "patented" "Torque Tweak" to an older 2 series Husqvarna. I had already done a few late model Stihl saws and my buddy Dave in Ireland's 357xp BB. This cherry 268/272 seemed like a worthy candidate. Supposed to be getting a 390xp in for a similar "Torque Tweak" update which will be a nice addition. Timewise, I thought that the 272 was a touch faster and mentioned such. It definitely wins on the lowend grunt. That we all watched. This means that if a guy wanted to run a 36" bar on both the 272 will be a better choice. A side note I forgot to mention - they weigh exactly the same fully fueled - @ 17 lbs. Looking at the timed runs: Insane-O S 372xp went 8.09 down and 7.75 up Psy-Ko 272 Torque Tweaked 272xp 8.04 down and 9.20 up - lifting log off 7.58 up foot on sawbuck 8.10 & 9.22 up No need to mention the pulsating on the throttle rocking the log back and forth while the weight was resting on the chain. Yah, stopped the chain - but - the whole process rotated putting the chain in a bind in the kerf. I did mention, twice, HOW well pleased the "Torque Tweak" version of the 272xp turned out. We all watched it happen. I'm currently available for custom saw modifications. Please shoot me an email if you are interested. danger_cat@rocketmail.com Thanks for watching.
