Anna, Clare and Tom camp out at Burkina Faso’s Sindou Peaks before finding out their campsite isn’t as remote as they think, when they wake up to a bunch of kids staring back at them. They travel on to Ouagadougou where the civil war in Libya thwarts Tom’s attempts to fly back to the UK. Clare & Anna attempt to get visas for Ghana, only to be stuck in a bureaucratic nightmare which sees them stay in Ouagadougou for much longer than intended, where they get stuck in the first riots of the 2011 Burkinabé Protests, and start lining up Plan B in case their visas don’t come through.
