“I Believe” (the complete LP) features the familiar voice of Frankie Laine along with Ralph Carmichael’s Choir and Orchestra. Frankie was an enormously popular vocalist in the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s, perhaps best-known for singing the theme songs for the TV show “Rawhide” (1959-1965) and for the 1974 Mel Brooks’ movie “Blazing Saddles.” This 1965 Capitol Records album was Frankie’s first (and only) LP on that label. The project was titled “I Believe,” a collection of 12 inspirational and pop tunes. The title song was a re-recording of Frankie’s big 1953 hit, along with re-arrangements of his hits “My Friend” and “Answer Me, O Lord.” The LP also included: “The Sound of Silence,” “He’ll Guide My Way,” “Teach Me to Pray,” “He,” “Come Sunday,” “The Green Leaves of Summer,” “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You” and “O, Bless This House.”
