In this video, we walk through how we designed, 3D printed, and reinforced a rearset for our MotoAmerica BMW S1000RR — and why I’d be comfortable running this exact part in a Pro MotoAmerica Superbike race. The rearset was printed on a Creality K2 Plus using Creality PPA-CF carbon fiber filament. After printing, we reinforced the part by filling internal voids with chopped carbon fiber and resin from Venom Carbon, creating what’s commonly known as forged carbon fiber. The result? A lightweight, incredibly rigid part that exceeded expectations.
