Resin 3D printing in half the time - Phrozen Sonic Mini review

The Phrozen Sonic Mini is refreshingly different. It has a monochromatic LCD screen that can handle more UV light, which means it prints around half the time of traditional MSLA machines. It also has a much longer LCD life before replacement. You may be wondering why the curing time is less than a third but the total print time is only half. That’s because each layer is also made up of lifting, pausing and lowering movements which stay constant in required time. In this review, I try out a range of different test prints and analyse the results. I had few mishaps due to finding my way with the slicer profile, but I’m quite happy with the results. I will be exploring more of the Phrozen range of resins in the near future with this machine. This printer was provided free of charge for the purposes of this review by 3Dprinteronline.
