Curse of Monkey Island: ESRGAN upscale [All scenes] [4K]

Although I'm not 100% convinced with all the results, I've decided to share them anyway. I have upscaled all the videos from the original .SAN resource files (640x480 resolution). I've tested different alsa64 "denoisers" but I finally used the "dedither" https://github.com/alsa64/AI-wiki/wik... . I've rendered the scenes, frame by frame, using my trained model used in other videos, deviantPixelHD250000: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... In my opinion, the methodology I used works well for some scenes but is encountering the same problems related with inconsistencies that I've seen everywhere: the scenes have very different forms of visual data, ranging from static almost hand-painted backgrounds, merged with 3D (ships) and 2D animations which are very simple in colours, etc., so when they are put in motion they "clash" with each other. ESRGAN is not always good at distinguishing these relations, that's why the results aren't that good sometimes. However, because there are infinite combinations, other methodologies might give better results! But in any case, this is my scientific approach to this game. I wanted to see what happened because I've played this game so many times and I think we need a remastered version. Although I was very tempted to manually modify some of the individual frames, I decided not to as I wanted to showcase what can be done "without" human intervention. It's very frustrating to see the original game being re-released without having any treatment in platforms such as Steam or GOG. And this is something I don't understand. When you go to a museum, every piece of art has been cleaned, polished and restored so it looks almost identical to as it was intended originally. The same thing happens with very old music recordings or films. CoMI (and other LucasArts games) suffered from strong compression due to the technological limitations of that time. So please, Disney/LucasArts: with a little bit of human interactions and help from algorithms such as ESRGAN, you could provide the fans with what Curse of Monkey Island should have looked like!
