It's always exciting to see a new Knots level because of how consistently amazing they are. This is no different. It's got a different vibe than many of his other levels, featuring a much slower song, resulting in both slower gameplay and visuals. Some parts do turn very long with the same visuals, but I wouldn't call this an issue when he made it nearly 3 minutes long in total. It's more of an issue if it leads to little variety overall, as in few parts with different visuals, but that's not a problem here. My main issue with this level is the gameplay. As you can see, it gets very repetitive at times, particularly from 0:13 to about a minute, where you mostly just jump over small spikes. Now, we all know Knots is a very good creator and it's obvious that he puts a lot of thought into everything he creates. This is definitely done on purpose, perhaps to match the song, but I can't help but find it repetitive nonetheless. The gameplay does change more throughout the rest of the level, which I find much better. Visually is where this level really shines, though. It looks amazing from start to finish, featuring some of Knots's best design and art in my opinion. There's a ton of very good color combinations, and great movement makes the level dynamic. An example of this is at 0:13, which I mentioned for having repetitive gameplay, and the rotating square putting out the spikes does make up for it. The animations from 1:19 to 1:32 is definitely the highlight of the level for me. Look at the transitions in particular. Overall, this is a different but, as always, amazing level by Knots. Despite some repetitive gameplay, which tends to be an issue in levels as easy as this in the first place, this definitely deserves an Epic rating. COIN RATING - Silver. 2/4. This level only has one coin, and compared to coins I've seen by Knots in the past, it's somewhat disappointing. Still, I don't really expect him to make crazy coins for every level, so this is fine. It's also not too fitting to have a crazy coin for a levle of this difficulty in the first place. • 1st coin: Silver. At 0:18, you have to take the key, which uses a custom design. I'm glad Knots always goes for custom collectible designs because they are an easy way of making your coin stand out from others. The boring default collectibles have been overused and are also much easier to spot because of that. Throughout the level, there are some coin baits found at 1:08, 1:35, and 2:23. They're all fake, though, and the real coin is found at 2:38 right at the end. All in all, this is just a free coin, but it's done with enough style to warrant a Silver over a Bronze rating. The custom key design and baits throughout are cool enough for that. For a higher rating, it'd have to be harder to find and get. ★ Become a Member of my channel for special perks: https://www.youtube.com/vipringd/join VIDEO INFO - Game (version): Geometry Dash (2.11) Level: Azimuth by Knots ID: 75101593 Music: If You'd Only Listened For A while by RedSoul92 https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/list...
