Siren model: Federal Sign and Signal Thunderbolt 1000AT Blower: 4M Port ratio: 5/6 Chopper level: 5 Manufactured: N/A Installed in: 1970s Phase: 1 Location: Lund and Byerlys Approximate distance: 300 feet Zoomed in shot & Audio: Canon PowerShot SX540 Zoomed out shot: Samsung HMX Q10 Enthusiasts present: Nobody Sirens nearby: 2001-130 (1.3 mi), 2001-DC (1.4 mi), 2001-DC (1.4 mi) Decided to head out to Bloomington today, to hear their thunderbolt. Hennepin County set it off right a 1:00:05. This is the only active Thunderbolt in Bloomington, there is also an inactive 1003 farther east located on top of the Riverview Office Tower. History on the siren: This siren was manufactured in 1978 and was later installed on this Cell Tower where it stands today in 1994. It is unknown where it came from or if it was refurbished and then later put up in the location it's at now. Bloomington/Hennepin County tests their sirens on the First Wednesday at 1PM year-round.
