Writing sessions when I struggle to find and develop links between scenes, to identify the core motivations of characters. Even days when I am unsure of the direction of the story or the structure needed for this next piece of non-fiction book. When this happens I take my writing into my Writing Critique Group and open myself to receiving feedback and help. Once a month I take part in a group within the Nottingham Writers' Studio and have been doing this for a long while. My fellow group members bring their work and we read each piece away from the group, bringing our thoughts, questions and feedback to the online session.
