Flat Water Dreams: Kiteboarding at the Punta Chame Sand Bars

Who doesn't love a kite session on super glassy flat water? Here's a video of our last kiteboarding session there before the COVID-19 lockdown in Panama in March. There are two sandbar formations in the Punta Chame bay. The Panamanian pacific has strong tidal movements and they become visible during super low tides. This video was taken at the smaller one close to Panama Kite Center. It is only about 5-10 minutes kiting straight into the bay. Once you're there the wind is perfect to ride along the sandbar, jump over it and play around. It doesn't get any flatter than this. Enjoy!
