Design Shanghai 2025: A Landmark Edition Shaping the Future of Design The 12th edition of Design Shanghai concluded successfully at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, welcoming over 76,000 professional visitors and showcasing more than 600 design brands from 30+ countries and regions. Guided by this year’s theme, “Design for Humanity,” we explored how design can make a meaningful contribution to society and enhance everyday life. We proudly presented four core sections — Furniture & Lighting, Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design, New Materials & Applications, and Living & Lifestyle — alongside seven specially curated features: TALENTS, Neooold, Re:Materialize, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft Japan, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First. Together, they offered a global perspective on creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship. Complementing these were three key conferences: the KOHLER · Design Shanghai Global Design Conference, the Design for Wellbeing Conference, and the CMF Conference, where over 200 design visionaries gathered to share insights and spark dialogue on the evolving role of design. Building on this year’s success, Design Shanghai will return to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 12–15 March 2026, reaffirming our commitment to championing design excellence across Asia and on the global stage.
