Haying Season: Making Alfalfa Hay/June 25, 2022

Extremely busy day today at Ewetopia Farms as we try to get our alfalfa hay harvested before the rain is due to hit tomorrow. In this video we discuss the pros and cons of making alfalfa hay, when to cut alfalfa and why, and more. We cut it, rake it, bale it, transport it and wrap it all in one extra long day! And of course there are sheep scattered throughout the video as always! With sheep farming, there is always something new to learn. At Ewetopia Farms, we try to incorporate learning opportunities when we encounter them as we go through daily life on our working sheep farm. We attempt to show life as it truly is on our farm and to present things with a touch of humour.
