122615 CONROE POLICE OFFICER RAMMED BY THIEVES-STABLE WITH BROKEN LEG

http://montgomerycountypolicereporter... A Conroe police officer has been transported to the hospital with his leg broken in several places. This was after the officer interrupted a burglary in progress at the West End Roofing and Material Company at 15431 Interstate 45 North near FM 1488. The suspects had gone in through a cut fence and over one section of fence and were loading GAF Timberline roofing shingles. As the officer pulled up the thieves fled in two trucks. One, a white pickup possibly a Chevrolet, and the second a tan pickup also a Chevrolet or GMC. The officer was getting out of his vehicle when the tan truck rammed the officer's car door pinning the officer for a moment and breaking his leg. Both trucks, which had license plates covered with plastic bags fled northbound on I-45. The officer from the burglary remains in stable condition at the hospital, he has not yet been identified. The suspects are still at large. Police are hoping security cameras will yield further images to assist on identifying the suspects.
