I have been hearing an annoying bearing noise for over 40,000 miles now, and have had it up on ramps and to various shops to try and find the cause -- which turned out to be the propshaft centre bearing failing. In this warts-n-all video I show how to replace the propshaft/rear driveshaft at home on ramps. It is possible to remove and replace the shaft without dropping the exhaust, but it does require a bit of messing about. There are some important aspects in the video that need to be stressed -- notably, leaving the vehicle in neutral and positioning the propshaft so all the bolts are accessible.
