New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates how to make Mango Freeze Sorbet. This recipe video was inspired by New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival's mango freeze. It consists of pureed Mangos that are ripened with the skin removed, combined with water, corn syrup for softness, sugar and a light sprinkle of salt. It is also pasteurized and chilled overnight before being churned in an ice cream maker and placed back into the freezer to set. You can also make this without an ice cream maker as well. You can get up to 4 servings of this sorbet. It's an easy recipe. Soft, refreshing, and perfect for those summer months or when mangos are in season. It's absolutely delicious.
