Street Photography with a Hasselblad 500CM. In this video, I walk through the city documenting life on the street and the people of Toronto with a Hasselblad. It’s a very different experience shooting with a larger, medium format camera when shooting street photography. It’s much slower and is perfectly suited for making street portraits. Often a discussion piece, people are intrigued to see such a camera among all of today’s highly sophisticated, computer aided gear. My name is Carmine Groe. With street photography, my goal is to enjoy the process in an open and honest way, to make connections with strangers while making their portrait as well as capturing candid moments of every day life on the street.
