Upon hearing my song "Shannon" my talented buddy, Drazen Alcocer, was immediately inspired to create this touching video. He really captured the emotion of the song. "Shannon" was recorded in 1976 and reached #6 on the Billboard charts garnering a Gold Record for sales of over a million copies. My late, great friend, Beach Boy Carl Wilson, told me he had a beloved Samoyed Dog called "Shannon", that was hit by a car and killed. I had an Irish Setter by the same name and not long after, when inspiration came, the song appeared quickly, as if it was channeled through me. A truly magical experience! Nearly fifty years on I'm sincerely grateful it remains a source of comfort and hope to many dog lovers worldwide when saying goodbye to their loyal companions. Thanks for watching.
