A video of a full walkthrough of the relatively new Sydney D set Mariyung intercity train, equipped with most standard modern amenities, such as improved accessibility, tray tables and charging ports. The new fleet brings a much needed upgrade to the saftey, accessibility, and customer experience of intercity rail travel throughout NSW. Built by Hyundau Rotem in South Korea, the Sydney D set entered service on the 3rd of December, 2025, on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line, and on the 13th of Octotber, 2025, the D sets also entered service on the Blue Mountains Line. In 2026, there are scheduled to begin operation on the South Coast line, progressively taking over the V sets and H sets' role as intercity trains. Currently, V sets are gradually being withdrawn and scrapped, while H sets are receiving a modern refurbishment to suit their new role as suburban trains.
