Episode 88: Jim Henson and the Muppets

This is a bit of a different episode for me. Rather than being about an attraction or a specific event in the history of Walt Disney world, this episode is about the connection of Jim Henson to the Walt Disney company, and what we got in MuppetVision 3D. For what it’s worth, spanning nearly 30 years, that MuppetVision 3D was pretty remarkable, and totally enjoyable. I take a look at how Disney acquired the Muppets, and what they were able to do with them in the 20 or so years that they’ve had them. Unfortunately, and sadly, the future is totally unknown for our furry friends. Disney closed muppetvision and has no immediate plans for Kermit, miss piggy, fozzie, and the rest.
