A Bit of Both (2025) | A Coming of Age Film about Friendship and Being Present

‪@wherescalebshaw‬ ‪@aawoza‬ & ‪@hanaschwalbe‬ had the privilege of spending this past week with ‪@creatorcamps‬ in Sweden with 25 AMAZING artists. On one of the last days, we got spilt up into groups, and were challenged to create a short film in ONLY 12 hours. This is what we made. All three of us not only came into this with our own unique talents, but we were also all from COMPLETELY different areas of the world. ‪@aawoza‬ being from The Bay Area… ‪@hanaschwalbe‬ being from Germany, And Caleb (myself) ‪@wherescalebshaw‬ being from The Pacific Northwest… Being paired together we brought a super unique perspective and flavor. In our short process of pre-production we quickly fell in love with the idea of “A Bit of Both”. The phenomenon of how two different people can not only become friends, but also learn from each other’s differences and grow as individuals. “This would not have been what it is without the lovely minds of Hana and Aaron. Super grateful for them, and I’m so proud of what we made. We’ll be saying, hmm, forever.” -Caleb “I admire how special and natural it was to create something with two such talented people. This project felt like a warm hug to me, a still moment, something that is timeless.” -Aaron “Even though the three of us were strangers just a few days ago, it felt completely natural to hang out and act for the first time. I’m so happy we were paired up! I’d stay up until five again anytime to create a project like this!” -Hana All that said, we hope you enjoy this piece, and can even gain a new perspective from it.
