The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: Today’s weather brings scattered thunderstorms across inland areas as a weakening weather system gradually fades, while a cold front pushing through the south will trigger showers along coastal regions. The weather service has issued a Level 2 warning for severe storms over southern Free State Province, KwaZulu-Natal Province, and southeastern Northern Cape Province, where people should watch out for heavy rain, damaging winds, hail, and possible flooding on roads and low-lying areas, with a Level 1 warning covering parts of the southeastern Eastern Cape Province for similar conditions. At the same time, several municipalities in the Northern Cape Province are facing extremely dangerous fire conditions, so any outdoor burning should be avoided completely.
