▌NTU International Mentorship Program | Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research Adiyasure Otgon, a Master's student in the Agricultural Economics Program from Mongolia, embarked on a journey to experience the Taiwanese workplace through the NTU International Mentorship Program. This summer, she immersed herself in the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research under the guidance of Dr. Shih-Fang Lo. Delving into diverse Taiwanese industries and engaging in international forums, Adiyasure not only accumulated work experience but also honed invaluable skills. The Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research, known for its distinguished reputation and innovative research, had always been Adiyasure's preferred choice. Her internship proved fulfilling as she dived into diverse research projects, ranging from sustainability initiatives in the IT industry to circular business models in textiles. Guided by Dr. Lo, she investigated various industries, visited textile manufacturers, and observed the practical implementation of sustainability measures, which enriched her academic insights with real-world application. Adiyasure's contributions extended beyond research projects. Deeply involved in the institution's operations, she also assisted in academic journal submissions and participated in prominent events like the Taiwan Plastic Forum and International Conference On Sustainable Design And Innovative Industries. Her engagement alongside professionals in preparing for forums and crafting academic articles not only refined Adiyasure's data collection and writing skills but also enhanced her analytical reasoning and communication. The institution's wide research scope broadened her horizons, allowing her to look into numerous Taiwanese industries and satisfy her curiosity about sustainable development. Armed with the experience and skills acquired during her internship, Adiyasure is well-positioned to continue exploring career opportunities in the realms of sustainability and commerce. In the next few months, NTU OIA will continue to visit the mentors and students of our Mentorship Program to share stories and learn from their experiences.
