Konnichiwa! Many people have requested that I make a video for my shinobue flute training routine, so here it is! These are the same exercises I do for daily warm-ups, and I also use these exercises right before a performance. These exercises came straight from Japan because they came from my shinobue teacher, Bunta Satoh sensei. These are boring exercises and you might feel like "How could these dumb exercises make me a better shinobue player??". Or you may feel like "I'm just doing these dumb exercises for nothing. I'm not getting any better with shinobue." If you that's the case, there are two reasons: 1. You get better tiny bit each day, so you don't notice you are getting better, especially because you have an unrealistic growth expectation. 2. You are not doing the exercises right because you are not paying attention to the reason WHY you are doing these exercises. Naruto trained hard to become a great ninja (shinobi). If you want to become a great shinobue player, you must train with all your heart for a long time, months, years, decades, LIFE TIME!! It is a journey. Don't look at the results.
