Suspension set up.. So i went this morning to see Neil Parkhouse formerly of parkit racing. Now called Advanced Moto Suspension He has a great little unit which covers everything suspension. I thought my bike rode well but it did have room for improvement. Ive seen loads say they had it done and "its a different bike" no reason why. Yes my bike feels better, and it wasnt a case of just adding loads of preload to get a sag figure that doesnt really matter. But actually getting the suspension to work as it should thus taking some pressure off the tyres. (he also covers tyre pressure and the tech of tyres) Yes the preload on the rear was increased, but the reason was he has a data base by KTECH that tells him what spring rate is on my bike, and what upgrades if needed. So mine is a 9.5 (95nm) spring. so more preload seemed to make sense. Which it did, as when i gave it some beans the bike sat better and and more focused. On the front the preload was turned down to allow a much fuller stroke. compression also softer than I had it and damping back and front to give feel and not be to soft, but also let it tip nice. All in all a vast amount of brilliant info. and £75 well spent. Oh and a nice brew too.
