Report on THE REPUBLIC DAY This report is a common report for both INDEPENDE DAY & REPUBLIC DAY as both the events are celebrated in almost the similar way. Students just have to change the name of the event and the rest of the paragraph can be used for both the events. 🔺 METHOD 🔺 The method to write a report is as follows : (i) TITLE : The title should be placed on the top and middle of the page. Title written in capital letters looks attractive and it should be underlined. (ii) INTRODUCTION : Just below the title, in brackets, we write introduction of the writer like Name, Designation (Post) and name of the institute (if given). (iii) BEGINNING : Leaving some space we start the paragraph with Name of the Place and Date of the event. We don't mention the year and the name of the month is written in short form. Then we start giving description of the event on which we are asked to write the report. 🔺 REPORT WRITING 🔺 This topic carries 6 to 8 marks in the syllabus of class 12th and 10 marks in the syllabus of class 11th. So reports should be prepared by the students on different topics. While writing a report, we should keep the following points in mind - (i) A report should be precise. (ii) It should be written in past tense. (Mostly) (iii) Use of passive voice and indirect narration should be preferred. (iv) The sequence of the events should be appropriate. (v) It should be written with proper mathod.
