The blasting and rock hauling is handled by Romarheim AS, the quarry itself is owned and operated by the De Cloedt Group in the Netherlands. The operation runs two shifts and produces high quality aggregate that is shipped out to central europe for use in asphalt, road construction, concrete and other building projects. A substantial amount of aggregate is also used on the seabed in the North Sea for covering oil and gas installations.
