Reversing your camper van or motorhome is one of the most dangerous manoeuvres you can perform, the major risk of hitting an obstacle or worse a person is very high due to the lack of rearward vision so a reversing camera makes perfect sense. In this video blog, Malish shows how to easily fit one to the back of your van to make life easier. Better than just a single lens reversing camera, we decided to fit a dual lens version that also acts as a rear view camera while driving forwards, thus ensuring an improved awareness of oncoming vehicles from behind. We purchased our camera kit from Reversing Cameras UK Ltd and you can find their website here: https://www.parkingcameras.com/ We found their service to be excellent with super fast delivery and very competitive pricing. We did not receive any financial payment or reward for using their products or services. Before choosing to go down the DIY route of fitting this camera kit, we were quoted over £580 to have a similar system installed and therefore saved ourselves nearly £400 by doing the installation ourselves. It wasn’t difficult and the instructions we received from the supplier were so very helpful too. What do you think? Would you do this type of job yourself or pay someone to do it for you? Perhaps your van doesn’t have a camera fitted, would you want one having watched our video? Please let us know in the comments section, we love hearing from you.
