Hi all! Today’s cooking is showing you how I prep my set meal in a more relaxed and flexible way. I used whatever left ingredients I had in my fridge. Best is to do it when you have more time at home and you want to pamper yourself with a not too expensive, healthy and satisfying meal. In my case, I choose it when I am off from work. Giving myself time to enjoy delicious food is important once or twice a week :) If I can make it, you should either! Ingredients Broth : 1-1.2 L water 1 pocket of anchovy(dashi) powder Soup : 350 ml broth 2 thinly sliced ginger 5g dehydrated Korean brown seaweed 2 pieces Chinese cabbage 1 tbsp white miso paste (optional) 1/2 tbsp of cut onion leaves 1/2 tsp roasted sesame oil (optional) Fried Rice : 1 cup of overnight steamed rice (short grain) 1 tbsp cooking oil 1 medium chicken egg (beat) 1 clove minced garlic 1/2 tbsp white part onion leaves 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce 1/2 tbsp light soya sauce A pinch of salt & pepper Some green onion leaves for garnish Spring Rolls (mini) : Spring roll pastry 10x19cm (4x4 inch) For the fillings will be shown in separate video next time :) Moderate amount of oil to deep fry Ginger garlic mushrooms : 5-6 fresh white button mushrooms 1/2 thin sized ginger (minced) 1 clove garlic (minced) 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp soya sauce 1/2 tsp sugar 3 tbsp water 1/4 tsp seasoning powder (optional) A pinch of pepper powder (optional) 1 tsp red wine & roasted sesame oil for garnish Salad : Cut cucumber Some cherry tomatoes No sauce is the best Dipping sauce : 1/2 tbsp hot chilli sauce 1/2 tbsp soya sauce For presentation: 1 rectangular wooden tray (normal size) 1 rice bowl (preferably Chinese or Japanese bowl) 1 soup bowl 1 shallow bowl 1 small salad bowl 1 small chilli plate or bowl 1 pair of chopsticks 1 soup spoon I hope you enjoy today’s simple but delicious set meal for brunch or lunch or on your off day.
