This short film invites viewers to explore how dominant narratives have perpetuated health inequities, and how building transformative narrative power offers a pathway to creating a world that truly supports health. Together, we can create and vision just, transformative narratives that open up a new realm of possibilities to reimagine health and equity through a systemic lens – moving beyond individual responsibility, to confront the structural and societal forces that shape our health and collective well being. From addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) to examining the power dynamics influencing our communities, the film presents a call to action for public health professionals, community organizers, and allies. By understanding and dismantling oppressive narratives, we can advance transformative solutions that center community power, equity, and justice. Key themes include: Exposing dominant narratives around health and individual responsibility Broadening the view of public health to address systemic and root causes Acknowledging public health's mixed legacy in supporting or undermining justice movements Highlighting the power of narrative strategy, community organizing, and transformative storytelling Join us in crafting a future where vibrant health and equity are accessible to all. 📢 Get involved: 👉 Learn more about building narrative power to change what's possible at http://narrativesforhealth.org/ 👉 Learn more about building power for health equity and justice at https://humanimpact.org/ Produced in collaboration with: Human Impact Partners (HIP) Narratives for Health County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) #HealthEquity #NarrativeChange #SocialJustice #PublicHealth #CommunityPower
