How to recover a simple seat, border and decorative top stitch, our friends forklift seat upholster

Here’s how we recovered a very badly worn forklift seat for our friend. A nice simple seat with a top panel and a border around the side. We added decorative top stitch which adds detail and also holds all the flange down in the same direction to aid when pulling it down. We used a heavy duty vinyl with high UV exposure rating as it sits outside most days and built up a comfy new inner by layering different foam densities and a polyester topping.
