Things to do, where to stay, worthwhile tours... we cover it ALL during our week in Bocas Del Toro! Bocas is a beautiful province on the Caribbean coast of Panama. Made up of multiple islands, this area is an absolute must if you are backpacking through Panama and/or Central America! The Bocas del Toro archipelago comprises nine main islands and several smaller ones. The main islands consist of Isla Colón (the most developed and where the water taxi will initially drop you), Isla Bastimentos, Isla Carenero, and Isla Solarte. Regardless of which island you are on, the Bocas Del Toro area is known for its crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches and lush rainforests! During our week in Bocas, we stayed on Isla Colón, Isla Bastimentos and Isla Solarte. Isla Colón is home to Bocas town which is the main hub. It's a vibrant and colourful town with a laid-back Caribbean vibe, featuring wooden buildings, bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Starfish Beach is located on the far side of this island which is a popular stop for many travellers! We enjoyed our time on Isla Colón but were happy to split it up with the other islands to get more of a true island feel. For accommodation here I would recommend Bambuda Town or Spanish by the Sea. Isla Solarte is home to the popular Bambuda Lodge, which is a destination in its own right. This hostel is in a beautiful location, has amazing facilities and free activities to join in each day! The island itself is full of vibrant rainforest (a sloth even made an appearance right beside our pool deck!) and it is surrounded but beautiful beaches and snorkelling spots. We joined a free rainforest hike over to Hospital Point and snorkelled here which was incredible! Finally, Isla Bastimentos is another incredibly popular spot and it is most well known for being the home to Red Frog Beach. We stayed at Palmer Beach Lodge and enjoyed the waterfront for a few days here. While in Bocas we also joined a floating bar crawl with our friends and experienced a little bit of the famous Filthy Friday party! We loved Bocas Del Toro and we hope after watching this video, you will to! Let us know if you have any questions, otherwise, I'll see you again soon :) _______ LOOKING FOR MORE TRAVEL INSPO?
