Saluda Lake January Kayak Bass Fishing - Buckskin Road Access - Winter Bass Fishing

On this abnormally warm January day, I decided to go to the Saluda River in January to get some wintertime kayak bass fishing in from Buckskin Road Boat Launch Ramp to work on the smaller water fishing. My lake plans for the year are to rotate between big lakes and small lakes. I can find fish fairly consistently on larger lakes, but smaller ones kick my tail more times than not. My first visit here was tough. Heavy winds, cold, and a strikeout. This trip faired significantly better than the last. If it were a tournament with Upstate Kayak Anglers, I would have hit the limit and culled one. It was not a great day, but it got me what I would need for small water UKA tournament.
