Optima Yellowtop 12V Battery for Camry Hybrid 2008

10-year old Camry Hybrid could not start due to the 12V battery is too old. Dealership quoted me $380 (part and labor). I tried to reduce the cost. Did some research online and found one solution from Johnson Controls. Purchased from eLearnAid. Cost $220 with $0 shipping. Optima Yellowtop is an Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) high performance batter and compatible with the original Panasonic AGM battery, except it has no thermal sensor like Panasonic. According to the manual came with Optima battery, I can transfer the thermal sensor from the Panasonic battery. The manual mentioned about a thermal conductive tape but I could not find it from the package. So I went to You Do It electronics and bought some thermal conductive epoxy. Cost $12. I followed the instruction and everything went smooth. At the end, the car started without a hiccup, Yay!!! July 14, 2018
