Fourth degree relapsed haemorrhoids or piles are nothing but bunches of blood vessels that have become big enough and are coming out of the anal canal and they cannot be pushed back. They just remain outside. So minimal invasive procedures mainly there are 2 varieties of minimal invasive procedures to take care of the haemorrhoids. One is Doppler guided haemorrhoidal arterial ligation, wherein the main supply to the pile mass is cut of using a Doppler technology and then the prolapsed haemorrhoids are pushed back using what is called as rectoanal repair, in that there are no wounds and the pain is very minimal. Practically there are no complications. The other one is stapled haemorrhoidectomy where a rim of tissue form inside is removed and then is stapled back using a specially designed stapler for that. So that is one more minimal invasive procedure. But there will be staples there and some of them can be associated with bleeding, pain and other complications. Soo these are the two procedures that are performed for fourth degree prolapsed haemorrhoids.
