Making a Custom Aztec 24k Gold Glock Slide.

Today I am taking factory gen 4 Glock 43x and making it into a functional piece of art. I start by removing the sights and also removing the factory coating. The factory markings need to be filled in as they will be in the way of the design. After some welding and sanding, I have a blank canvas to begin the engraving. First I have to make my design fit the smaller (Single-Stack) G43x, as my original design fits the G19. After around 6 hours of deep engraving the desired areas, I coat the slide with a special black nonconductive paint. Next, I polish the slide and prep for gold plating. The slide is 24k hard gold plated.
