With a lake right next to the camping area, where there is heaps of great fishing spots to go and it’s called Wallace Lake in New South Wales. Nestled 10 minutes on the Bathurst side of Lithgow, Lake Wallace at Wallerawang and is the perfect caravan and camping spot. Even take an electric boat out on the water, sorry guys “No Petrol Motors on the lake. But what a lake. This place is a must to pop in and stay for a few days. There is so much room here, you can camp away from the lake or right on the lakes water. But heads up guys, if you camp right next to the water you know you will get a gut load of mozzies. Lake Wallace is an RV friendly campground that makes driving around it in a big rig, a dream. You really have to watch the video I did for this site to see how big the campsite is. The campsite near the water are mostly level, and thats on the higher ground. The campsite right next to the water, the level is slightly out, but not enough to worry anyone. But what a place to set up camp tho. Remember this site has no power, so solar is a must here. There are shaded areas right around the park or you can park out in the open. The water out this way is town water, but I do advise to use a filter when ever you guys are filling up with water anywhere. There is water right next to the dump point at this site but it does say it is Non Potable Water. The Dumpsite is a large area that you can get any type of van in, but might have to steer your RV in there to get it close, but it can be done. They do ask that all greywater is deposited in the dump point. The toilet paper here ran out pretty fast at this site guys so bring your poo paper, and the toilets were cleaned every few days. Which I think they need to be clean every day here, by hearing me saying that, you probably guest this is a high traffic campsite. You guested right, this site is a real favourite. Once you come here you will want to come back every year. This site even has Hot Showers which are open 24 hours, except the the toilets and showers when they get cleaned. Some of the facilities around this park are, you have an off dog leash area for your best friend to run around and around. Then you have a large play ground for the kids to play on or hurt themselfs on, one of the two..Lol! Cooking wise, they have FREE electric BBQs right near the play ground as well. With fires they request that all campfires/naked flames must not exceed 1-metre x 1 metre in size and be raised from the ground in firepits. Please bring your own firewood to this site because there is not much around here. You might find a small amount but you are best to bring your own. Plus observe total fire bans signs around this area. Town Centre is only a hop skip and a jump away or two-minute drive for a meal and extra supplies, this town is not a large town but enough to get what you need.. It even has a pub that does meals as well. Phone reception is about 3 bars 4G and thats with Telstra, plus the down load speed is about 30 mbs. Camping is only allowed for a maximum of 48 hours in the designated areas. But please remember that other areas you can stay longer.. How cool is that..Yippee!
