People always ask, “Why do we need to train?” or “Why can’t leaders just buy the leaders manual and lead a lesson?” The simple answer is there are no footsteps to follow. These leaders are pioneers and they are forging a path, moving into uncharted territory. When leaders come to us, they have a dream and a calling, but they need the tools and skills to create a space where everyone can learn about Jesus and enjoy the process, so we can see real transformation. We had the joy of working with seven new leaders from Advent Moravian Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania last year. They agreed to honestly share their journey and how Bethesda was a part of their movement from fear to fun.
