Membra Jesu Nostri - cantata VII 'Ad Faciem' [BuxWV75 ] Luthers Bach Ensemble didn’t want to let another Passion time pass by without a musical contribution of her own. When it became apparent that performing J.S. Bach’s Passion classic would be impossible in 2021 as well, LBE chose the smaller Membra Jesu Nostri by Dieterich Buxtehude. Membra Jesu Nostri consists of seven cantatas, which depict the suffering of Christ and his tormented body. Unfortunately, this beautiful Passion music couldn’t result in a 'real' concert with you as a live audience either, and therefore LBE has created a beautiful video recording instead.
