Here's another unremembered little treat from Julie Brown's sketch show, The Edge. It was an sketch comedy television series created by David Mirkin that aired on the Fox Network for a single season from September 19, 1992 to May 2, 1993. The only thing left out that is carried over from an earlier sketch is that the network is using a computerized monitor called the Censor 2000 to replace 'expletives' with inoffensive words in real time. After the set up, I tagged on the reprise and conclusion of the sketch at the end of the episode. Besides Kevin Nealon, keep an eye out for Jill Tally, Tom Kenny, Wayne, Knight, Jennifer Anniston, and Paul Feig. The sketch seems like a hackie premise from the late Fred Wolfe Era of Saturday Night Live, but I think this is executed better than a 12 and a half minute SNL sketch would have been.
