It's been daunting for me to begin talking about the Good Place, because there was one really large topic that I wanted to discuss, and I knew it encompassed a major portion of the show, and a ton of characters' arcs. But I had to eventually, because this show is uniquely positive in its depiction of the afterlife, the supposed "role" for humanity, and the treatment of those who did not live the most moral lives. It's truly such a beautiful message supporting rehabilitation over punishment, and highlights a really big struggle our culture has with trying to help one another, rather than tear each other down. Building a community and fostering support is vitally important for us to live ethical, moral lives. And while we should not excuse poor behavior, we should always be looking for ways to improve it.
