This new doctrine of war was developed by General Graziani. At the outbreak of WW2 Mussolini forbade/limited the transfer of Italian motorised armoured divisions from Po Valley to North Africa until 1941. PO Valley is where Italys' tanks were stationed. The entire Italian armored corps {Corpo D’Armata Corazzato) consisting of two armored and two motorized divisions were active In training in Italy during 1939. Possible last radio message of the "Ariete" Division transmitted on 4 November 1942, during the battle of El Alamein, and read: "ARIETE ACCERCHIATA. ..
