My 1985 Honda ATC 350X - My Favorite Three Wheeler

You guys have asked me which three wheeler in my collection is my favorite; so here's my answer. If I'm going to go for a ride and only have a minute to grab something and go, my 85 350X is the one that's getting loaded in the truck. It's dependable, fast, and perfect for just about any conditions. I bought this machine back in 2018 from a stranger who has now become a good friend. It smoked when I bought it and what was believed to be dried out valve seals proved to be a bigger problem that required a top end rebuild. This was confirmed during our participation in SNIRT in 2019 where I burned 4 quarts of oil in my 350X over the course of an 85 mile ride. If you're not familiar with SNIRT, it's a big poker run up in the Tug Hill Plateau north of Syracuse NY. Anyway, my buddy Donny Buysall was up for the challenge of tearing into that motor and in the process we fixed a couple of issues it had. It hasn't got the power of a 450 conversion, but it's got the reliability that really counts. This machine has a 10.25:1 piston from Wiseco that was purchased through JR Trikesports It has a 340B Web Cam with Kibble White valve springs. I upgraded the carb to a 400EX carb, and it has an ATD-ATC grab bar on it. #atc #trike #honda
