Recorded in the ESS studio on July 14, 2024 NYC-based musician Brandon Seabrook presents new works for solo Banjo and 12-string electric guitar. About Brandon Seabrook Brandon Seabrook is a NYC-based guitarist and banjoist. His music fuses a wide range of traditions: punk rock, jazz, improvisation, pop, and metal. As a guitarist his work feeds off tactile sensations; rapid tremolo picking, contorted clusters, and extreme physicality. He has been described by the New York Times as “a man apparently hellbent on earning the title of World’s Least Rustic Banjo Player” and named "Best Guitarist in New York City" by the Village Voice. He has collaborated with Joey Arias, Anthony Braxton, Cecile Mclorin Salvant, David Byrne, Ingrid Laubrock and many others. He has been profiled in the The Wall Street Journal, Premier Guitar, Rolling Stone Magazine, Chicago Reader, Bandcamp Daily, and The Wire. He has released nine albums of original material and has performed throughout the U.S.,South America, and Europe.This coming October will see the release of a new solo album titled "Object of Unknown Function" via Pyroclastic Records.  The OPTION series is curated by Ken Vandermark, Lily Finnegan, and Andrew Clinkman.
