Diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic problems has evolved as a separate branch called Phlebology, many countries have realized that and offer specialized degrees in the same. American College of Phlebology offers a fellowship in same, as do so many other countries. Now for the First Time in India Avis Vascular Centre offers a specialized fellowship in treating Venous Diseases, Varicose Veins, Venous Ulcers, DVT management, Chronic Deep Venous reconstruction, Lymphedema Care, Cosmetic Phlebology and more. This fellowship in Phlebology is accredited by Bharat University and is available for MD (Radiology), MS (General Surgery), DM (Cardiology), MCh (CTVS and Plastic surgery), MD (Gynecology), MD (Dermatology), MD (Emergency Medicine) graduates who have qualified from MCI Accredited or equivalent program. The program duration is 6 months long and is hands on, and the fellow will do a minimum of 150 venous procedures during the fellowship.
