For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a gorgeous Verde Green 1965 Buick Riviera GS. This classic car is very well optioned including: AC, AM radio, power brakes, power steering, power seats, power windows, tilt wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, and custom aluminum/alloy wheels. Under the hood you will come across a 425 CID V8 engine backed by a 400 automatic transmission. There is just 2600 miles on the freshly rebuilt engine. The exterior paint is obviously professionally done. Looking at the car in the sunlight you will see it radiate apart from the pack. The Verde Green is both classy and sporty. The 425 engine is bored .060 over and was absolutely completely overhauled, top to bottom. The Riviera name first entered the Buick line in 1949 as the designation for the new two-door pillar-less hardtop, which was described in advertising as "stunningly smart." Changes for 1965 included the introduction of the Gran Sport option, which included the dual-quad Super Wildcat 425 V8, a numerically higher 3.42 axle ratio, and stiffer, heavy-duty suspension. The stock dual exhaust pipes were increased from 2.0 inches to 2.25 inches inside diameter and had fewer turns to reduce backpressure. This Riviera is the last year for that generation; many believe this body style is the one that will remain timeless and always sought after.
