Raizan Sennyoji Daihioin Temple Raizan Sennyoji Temple, located on Mount Raizan in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is said to have been founded by the monk Seiga Shonin of Mount Reijusan in the 48th year of the reign of Emperor Seimu (178), who came to Japan at the invitation of Rai Daigongen, the local deity of Mount Raizan. Afterwards, Emperor Shomu made it a training center under imperial decree, and seven temple buildings were built. Successive emperors, military commanders, and powerful families throughout the country competed to worship the temple, and many feudal lords, including the Kamakura Shogunate, offered prayers and donated rice fields, resulting in the construction of 300 temples on the mountain. In particular, in 1753, the lord of Fukuoka Domain, Kuroda Tsugutaka, built the current temple, Daihioin Temple. The light of the teachings of Raizan Sennyoji Temple, which has a mysterious history, is now passed down through Daihioin Temple. It attracts the faith of the masses as a place of prayer for safe childbirth, child rearing, good luck and protection from evil, and as a place to receive the substitute amulet "Samuhara". The admission fee is 400 yen, and you can view the main image, the Eleven-Headed Thousand-Armed Thousand-Limited Kannon Bodhisattva, as well as the interior of the temple. The entrance fee is 100 yen, and for one month from November 1st to 30th, you can only view the outer garden and the large maple tree. 626 Raizan, Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, 819-1145 VOICEVOX: Kyushu Sora JAPAN in 4K #Japan travel #japantrip #power spot #travel #history #tourism #power spot #spectacular view #Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture #Tarokichi's solo trip #autumn leaves 2024
