Insane 600 m Glass Water Slide in Malaysia [Now Decommissioned]

Take a ride on the SkyCity water slide located at i-City Theme Park in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The slide was recently decommissioned after an incident, learn more about it here: https://thesun.my/malaysia-news/sky-c... (external URL). We were lucky to ride this attraction as it was only open for a few weeks before it closed down. i-City intends to resume operations as soon as possible. In order to get to the attraction, guests have to scan their entrance ticket at the bottom. Thereafter, an elevator brings them to the top platform of the SkyCity tower. The platform allows you to stand or walk on glass panels 60 m above the ground which is pretty crazy! The slide is located on a lower platform which can be accessed by stairs. At this point, the attendants will instruct you to put on a poncho as this ride is not used with swimming attire. Make sure not to cover only your body but your backpack also, as it will get soaked otherwise. Once you are seated in your float, the attendant waits for the green light before dispatching the rider(s). The ride is much faster than it looks and the glass is really adding to the experience. Also, the LEDs are a nice touch - the ride is certainly much for fun at night. After ending their 600m-long ride, the ride ends inside Water World by i-City. As the glass slide is a separately ticketed attraction, riders are immediately escorted out of the water park.
